The Society's President Dr Leslie Howard, AM is pleased to offer masterclasses at his home for six days in January 2009.

Members of the Liszt Society can attend [with guests if desired] in an auditory capacity on each day from 2 to 5 starting from Thursday 15th and there will be a performance by the best players at my house from 3pm on Sunday 18th Jan 2009. The classes will be open free to all members of the Liszt Society [of an appropriate standard!], and they are offered free to all piano students from Trinity College of Music.

Listeners will be asked for a small contribution for refreshments.

Any original piano music by Liszt based on sacred themes and subjects, with particular attention to the cycle Harmonies poétiques et religieuses, S173. Other pieces of Liszt will be considered if necessary, but no transcriptions, fantasies or pieces on national themes will be accepted, and the Sonata is excluded on this occasion.
